Oglala Sioux Tribe to install more slot machines with compact
The Oglala Sioux Tribe will be able to offer more slot machines under a new Class III gaming compact with the state of South Dakota.
The existing compact limits the tribe to 250 machines. The new deal authorizes up to 750 machines at the Prairie Wind Casino and the East Wind Casino.
Indian president of Bolivia wins election for historic third term
Evo Morales won re-election on Sunday to a historic third term as president of Bolivia.
Morales, who is Aymara, secured 60 percent of the vote in a five-way race. His closest challenger only got 25 percent.
“This victory is the victory of the anti-colonialists and the anti-imperialists,” Morales told supporters, The New York Times reported.
